Kari’s introduction to the world of healthcare as a profession initially began on the Gold Coast where she grew up and studied at Griffith University. An audition for Tokyo Disney during her first semester of university would have her embark on a 12-year career abroad as a professional dancer, actress, singer, and aerial artist before circling back to her home state of Queensland.
Whilst performing Kari sustained many injuries but found the most difficult part of the rehab was finding the right practitioner. She found there was a disconnect between patient and practitioner due to a lack of understanding of what her job required. Since returning to university Kari has been passionate about bridging this gap by educating fellow health care practitioners on the high-stakes business of those who perform for their vocation and have the additional pressure of their body being their sole source of income.
Kari is committed to keeping her patients moving, helping them to move better so they can move more. Whether via walking, swimming, leaping or jeté Kari is committed to keeping you moving forward.
