What are the symptoms of TMDs?
The most common symptoms include facial / jaw pain, headache, earache and neck pain. Clicking of the jaw may also be present when the mouth is opened / closed.
What causes TMDs?
TMDs can have varying causes. Dental factors such as clenching of teeth may predispose the individual to developing facial / jaw pain. Additionally, poor neck and head posture can also result in the TMJ and surrounding muscles becoming painful.
What should I do about it?

The physiotherapist will take a thorough history of your symptoms, assess movement at the jaw and the neck, and formulate an appropriate treatment plan to assist with reducing symptoms.
